Free smart interview clothing for local job seekers

Everyone deserves to walk into a job interview feeling confident and prepared. The Job Ready Rail provides free smart clothing to borrow for interviews, including shirts, trousers, skirts, dresses, blazers and ties, subject to availability.

How it works

1. Register your details
   Complete the short registration form so we can record your interview date, contact details and the clothing you borrow.
2. Choose your outfit
   Select a suitable interview outfit from the Job Ready Rail at the participating shops.
3. Attend your interview
   Wear your outfit and focus on making a great first impression.
4. Have the clothing cleaned
   After your interview, take the borrowed clothing to a participating Timpson store for free dry cleaning through its job seeker service. Please check eligibility and availability with Timpson before visiting.
5. Return the clean outfit
   Return the freshly cleaned clothing to the same Samaritans shop so it can help the next person preparing for an interview.

Who can use the service?

The Job Ready Rail is intended for people who need smart clothing for a job interview, including people seeking work through Universal Credit or the Jobcentre, as well as anyone who identifies that they genuinely need support.

Before you register

Please have your interview date and a contact telephone number ready. Clothing is loaned free of charge and must be returned after the interview and cleaning. Items and sizes depend on current availability.
